By the history, we have seen systems such as totalitarism that had forbidden many cultural aspects in history like thinking. Totalitarism has the goal to make a path for society to be perfect, but only by the State’s philosophy which in this case is to be good for the ones who are watching you. This system had a strategy of vigilance in which they used a secret police that was in charge to see any strange movement detected by them. In relationship with this, appears the book 1984 written by George Orwell, this book explains who life could be seen by others only by a system of cameras that every person had, and how did this system establishes a hierarchical position over society who had fear of making something who could be bad seen in police and government.
Is Totalitarism State considered as harmful?
Reminding all things and aspects that change with a totalitarian state, it might be said that Totalitarism makes an undeveloped society. Totalitarism does a job in which society has to be monitored, and this job affect feelings and wants of people that are constantly thinking of what they want, of what they have to do, in every single aspect that can’t be controlled by only putting cameras every way you are rounding up. In fact, the hierarchical positions were explained not by education but of oppression that always was applied to society to “correct” their mistakes and think just what the state wants them to think about, for example the jobs that they were available to do, that it might be one only.
In 1984, there is explained or told the simple fact that people could be always searching the way to find a blind point, in which they can express the way they want by writing, making other stuff, or even meeting someone else who maybe this person cannot see. Many of this things change with a totalitarian state. A topic that is really important at this point is the fact of no freedom of expression, which was highly marked on Winston’s day by day in 1984. When Winston finally found his blind point where the camera did not see, he finally be himself and express the way he want, but always with the fear to be caught because he knew that this blind point could bring him problems with police and state. The simple fact that Winston had a place to live how he want, give him a little piece of freedom and happiness.
A curious fact is that the story in 1984 still the same as it was 40 years before specially because the story develops in a country where totalitarism was not found, but is important to remember that George Orwell was born in British India were totalitarism was the social system used to control society where now we find India. This fact is an important data because it might be the way George Orwell saw social system and control in England. It is clear that George Orwell establishes in his book a kind of sarcasm in the way he describes that the novel develops in a state that has four ministries that are the Ministry of Love, Ministry of Peace, Ministry of Plenty and Ministry of truth. The way in which these ministries develop in the novel shows that no matter the names of ministries or how they present to the world, they probably can be corrupt like for example Ministry of Love; is a ministry in which they are in charge of torture, punishments and correct and inculcate love for the Big Brother, something that can be represented as oppression against the ones who might be opposed to politics in that government. In the other case we can see the Ministry of Peace, which establishes that if the country is in war with someone else, it means that the nation is in internal peace, what can be considered as a support to the war. The Ministry of Plenty and the Ministry of Truth may be considered as the most corrupt ministries that the novel shows to the public a comparison with the situations that many societies have lived or presence in some cases such as the elimination of proofs that may help in cases that can harm the government but they finally end harming society or people in specific. Or the Ministry of Plenty, this example shows how governments are not too much interested in necessities of farmers or even society in general specially in job terms, because many of governments take decisions ignoring that they are devaluating the chances of people to get a job and get money, what concludes that the ministry basically is in charge of check economic situation and that establishes that people is in charge to generate their own jobs and earnings.
A curious fact is that George Orwell presents a World in which England is not part of what he called Eurasia that was Europe and all Russia. In the book, George Orwell presents and shows England as part of Oceania with Greenland of their own (aspect that does the same with all the American Continent, a half of African Continent (South part), and Oceanic countries such as Australia and New Zealand). George Orwell explains that Oceanic countries are ruled by Ingsoc (English socialism), Eurasia is ruled by Russian bolshevism and East Asia is ruled by the adulation to death. This may be the explanation of some philosophies that had specific parts in the world, or how Eurasia influence on global decisions or specific parts in world such as the book’s Oceanic countries and the East Asia.
The relationship that the book has with some other historic situations is with Fascism, Fascist Germany and Fascist Italy. The fascist state is a state originated in Italy during World War I, in opposition to liberalism, Marxism, anarchism and traditional conservatism. The fascist state is a totalitarian state; it means that the state has a total power over society, or a non-democratic state. The state was leader by Benito Mussolini that was an Italian soldier in the World War. Mussolini had the idea to conquer all Africa, starting with Ethiopia, this influence the Nazi movement leader by Adolf Hitler, who had the idea of conquer all Europe, and the same with Meiji and Hirohito with the idea of conquer Asia. Based on this, Fascism could be considered as a way of control of all the enemies, economy, population etc. Also as a way of expand territory by militarism. Based on history, what happen on Italy was full government disorganization, social crisis, economic problems and a less worldwide participation. Taking this into account, those aspects are the ones that make a country to have a Fascist state, even if they are totalitarian. It was so deep and perishable the experience of Nazi-fascism in humanity, their characterization, despite the many, many studies and trials come out from all branches of science, they have done nothing to show the way as complex and diverse as it has been expressed the contradictory essence of the economic, political and social contemporary ideology still unfinished.

In Colombia, there was a hard period in which Colombia was disorganized and full of war and terrorism. The arrival of Alvaro Uribe to the presidency was the path in which Colombia will get social security, the economy will increase and the government will get an organization. There are many aspects of the Alvaro Uribe’s period of presidency which may think that the type of state managed by 2002 and 2008 is a fascist state. This political party was not officially fascist, but there were many methods used to become Colombia a new country. Dictatorship is seen by the way in which Uribe managed Colombia in the way he wants, for example by not asking the people if all want the extermination of guerrilla in Colombia, also he change the Colombian political constitution for the reelection of the president. Militarism, this aspect is seen by the excess using of Colombian army against the guerrilla and the support of the Colombian nation to the army even nowadays, the elevated salaries given to the police and the army, and the financing of war that includes more arms and more areas of soldiers training. By the pass of the years, the presidential period of Alvaro Uribe has been classified as a period in Colombia who uses the Fascism leaded by Uribe and his political party. This political party was not officially fascist, but there were many methods used to become Colombia a new country because the problems that had before in the presidential period of Andres Pastrana.
In fascism there are three aspects that characterize as a movement, first is the dictatorship, second is the nationalism, and third is militarism. In the presidential period of Uribe, only two of three aspects can be seen, these aspects are dictatorship and militarism. Dictatorship is seen by the way in which Uribe managed Colombia in the way he wants, for example by not asking the people if all want the extermination of guerrilla in Colombia, also he change the Colombian political constitution for the reelection of the president. Militarism, this aspect is seen by the excess using of Colombian army against the guerrilla and the support of the Colombian nation to the army even nowadays, the elevated salaries given to the police and the army, and the financing of war that includes more arms, areas of soldiers training, the elevated salaries to all charges in the army including the police.
A little bit apart from the book’s situation in the way that the story does not have an established militarism but the relationship is found in the manipulation of law and how governments where searching their own good instead of society’s good.

The text was going well until you repeated the last two paragraphs in a different wording, added no further argument or conclussion and finished the text abruptly. I could find a line in the text but it was cut in the middle. your redaction was decent and your punctiation mostly accurate, you present minimal mistakes in the use of different tenses.

your grade is a 6,0
